The VDMA will be holding its fourth Variant Management Conference under the device "Managing diversity" in Langen near Frankfurt on 23 February 2016.
Nowadays variant management is indispensable for many machine and plant engineering companies if they wish to offer customised products profitably and successfully on the market. Managing variants is therefore an essential competitive competence for the German capital goods industry. Product customisation creates a high level of diversity and complexity that needs to be mastered in technical as well as in commercial terms.
