How it works with SAP

To enable technical integration and business
data exchange between SAP components and between SAP and non-SAP components, SAP has created the Business Framework. Business Application Programming Interfaces (BAPIs) are an important part of this framework.

They represent the visible interfaces at the component boundaries - and ensure the integration of the components. This works both within a local network and over the Internet. Product module (internally called SAPLINK) uses these mechanisms for secure, bidirectional access to SAP using RFC-enabled BAPIs.
